Saturday Evening

"How was your evening?" Webb asked Gunny. They were sitting by themselves in the rec room. "Never mind, I can tell by the look on your face."

"I think I love her." Gunny's statement was simple yet beautiful. "It's going to be hard to leave here."

"Don't tell anyone, but I know what you mean." That was the closest Webb would come to admitting he had feelings for the spirited brunette.

"Not much longer until we have to go back, huh?"

"Yes. Two weeks at most - we just have some final details to put together and then we can take care of these bastards." Webb smiled. "It will be nice not to be 'dead' any more, too. I have to say I won't miss that part of this assignment."

"And then what?" Gunny asked.

"After doing such a good job, I think the Agency will give us some vacation time."

"And I know exactly where to take it." Gunny grinned at Webb.

Meanwhile ...

Harm pulled his car into his apartment parking lot. Mac had been driving him crazy the whole way there, teasing him.

Unfortunately, when they got in the building, the elevator was on the fritz, so they had to walk up the stairs to his floor. Then he dropped the keys trying to unlock his door.

Why was he so nervous? Then he realized it. This would be the first time they made love at his apartment. This was a sign of real commitment on Mac's part - lovemaking at her place meant it was on her terms. Coming here - did that mean she was now ready for him to take the lead in this part of their relationship?

"Are you all right, Harm?" Mac asked, helping him pick up the keys.

"Yeah," Harm tried to act nonchalant and failed. "Do you realize this is the first time we, uh, you know, here?"

She smiled at him. "You mean, 'do the deed'? You are such a Boy Scout sometimes. I love that about you."

Harm replied, "Don't change the subject. Are you all right with being here?" He held her hands and tried to let his body language convey what he couldn't put into words.

"Yes. I'm at home when I'm here, and making love here tonight feels right." With that she took the keys from him and opened the door, pulling him with her. "Now, take me to bed or lose me forever," she teased.

"I don't want to do that, now, do I?" Harm scooped Mac up in her arms and carried her to the bed.

"You are beyond beautiful," he said, tracing the curves of her body with his fingers.  She pulled his head up to hers and kissed him, fiercely, passionately.

They made love for what seemed like hours.

"Harm ... you are ... amazing," Mac gasped, still recovering.

Harm grinned at her. "You ... inspire me ... sweetheart."

They curled up together and pulled the blankets over them, ready for sleep.

"Harm," Mac said sleepily.

"Yes?" he replied, yawning.

"I love you."

"I love you, too."
